Delete from the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Arc Journal app:
- Open Arc Journal on your device.
- Go to your Profile (tap the profile icon or navigate to settings).
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and all data will be queued for permanent deletion immediately.
Delete via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

Include the email address associated with your Arc Journal account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 days.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Journal entries -- all text entries, voice transcripts, and sticky notes
- Mind map data -- all nodes, connections, and generated maps
- AI-generated content -- themes, reflections, suggestions, and action items
- Profile data -- your email, preferences, and account settings
This action is irreversible
Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Make sure to export anything you want to keep before requesting deletion.
Deletion Timeline
- Active data: Permanently deleted within 7 days of your request.
- Backups: Overwritten within 30 days. During this period, your data may exist in encrypted backups but is not accessible or usable.
